What is Microsoft Access?
Microsoft Access is the most popular and powerful database management system. It is a relational database management system. It is used to store and manipulate large amount of data.
Microsoft access is very easy to learn and use. It provides graphical user-interface. This feature helps the users to create tables, queries, forms and reports etc. So non-experienced users can easily work in MS-Access.

Advantages of Microsoft Access
There are many advantages / benefits of using Microsoft access. The most important advantages or benefits of Microsoft access are described below:

Sample Databases
Ms-Access provides sample database applications for users. These applications help the users to learn about table, queries, forms and reports etc. The users can easily create databases and different objects in then.

Wizard
Wizard is a utility that guides user in performing a particular task. MS-Access provides several wizards to create databases, tables, queries, forms and reports etc. The users can easily create databases and different object in them

Viewing relationships of Database Tables
After creating the relationships between database tables, you can easily view these relationships in graphical form.

Microsoft Office Integration
Ms-Access is the part of Microsoft Office. Database created in MS-Access can easily be exchanged between MS- Office applications. For example, data saved in Microsoft Access database tables can be used in Microsoft Word. Similarly, data of database tables can also be used in MS-Excel etc.

Easier programming
Ms-Access also provides the facility of programming. You can write code with macros to perform various tasks. You can write more complex and advanced code with VBA. MS-Access provides graphical shortcuts that help the user to write code easily.

Common Standards
MS-Access uses the standard Query Language and objects therefore, database created in MS-Access can easily be exchange with in any relational database system.

No Redundancy
Redundancy means duplication of same data in multiple files. It wastes the storage media of computer and creates many other problem in performing different operations on data. In MS-Access, data can be manipulated without data redundancy by defining relationships between sets of data

What is IDE?
IDE stands for integrated Development environment. An IDE is very important component of DBMS. It is used by users as an interface. The users interact with the database program through its IDE part to perform different operations on the databases the user can create databases and database applications very easily. The IDE of DBMS provides various tools for this purpose.  The user just selects the specifications of the required database and the database is created automatically. The IDE thus hides the complicated details from the user.

Ms-Access is an example of database program having IDE. It provides the user with a praphical interface. The user can perform different operations on databases very easily.
